Character interview by Eve Langlais with Giveaway

Lucifer: Welcome future denizens of Hell. For today’s special interview, I, great lord of the underworld, will take on the task of interviewer while your usual blog host takes a tour of my domain. Not quite willingly, but let’s not quibble about minor matters.

Katie (beams): I’d never argue with you, boss.

Lucifer: Of course, you wouldn’t. It’s why you’re my favorite enforcer.

Xaphan (mutters): Suck up!

Katie: No fair grumpy. How come you get to talk publicly about my skills in the boudoir but I can’t?

Xaphan: I wasn’t referring to that!

Katie: Are you implying I’m not good at it? I’d be willing to give a demonstration to prove otherwise.

Xaphan: Later. (Katie pouts). Like as soon as the interview is done. (She brightens the room with a blinding smile.)

Lucifer: Why wait? I’m sure we’d all enjoy watching.

Gaia (appears in a shower of flower petals): Really? What about that talk we had about spying on people having nookie?

Lucifer: Bloody hell woman. Stop sneaking up on me. I’m going to dress you as a belly dancer with bells around your ankles if you keep doing that.

Gaia: Again? I thought we were playing pirate and the reluctant virgin this week.

Lucifer (leers): Aye, my beauty. That’s right. Want to come over here and shiver me timber?

Katie (holds her throat gasping): No. Not again. I just recovered my sight from the last time you bared the great white buttocks.

Gaia giggles. Xaphan smirks. Lucifer frowns.

Lucifer: I don’t like you anymore.

Gaia: What? Had we actually progressed to like? Oooh, the big and mightly Lucifer liked me. Cad!

Lucifer: Don’t push me, woman. You know how I feel about the other L word. Isn’t it enough I show
you my affection by torturing the souls of lumberjacks?

Gaia: That was rather sweet.

Katie: Think that’s romantic, did you know Xaphan killed a squad of demons yesterday because they stared at my ass too long? (sighs) He is so sexy when covered in the blood of our enemies.

Lucifer: Enemies? They were a horny group of recruits who didn’t know better. This is going to set me back months. You do know my demonic armies are supposed to be rebuilding, not getting decimated because of your mate’s jealousy issues.

Katie: But he’s so hot when he swings his sword. And plunges it. And seesaws it back and forth. And back and forth.

Xaphan (stands with a glower): That’s it. This interview is done.

Katie: I’m not.

Xaphan (tosses her over his shoulder): You will be in a minute once my sword and I get through with you. Say goodbye.

Katie (waves cheerfully from her upside position): Bye everyone. I’m off for some super hot sex with my mate. As for you jealous bitches checking his ass out in the crowd. I’ll be back for you. With my knife.

Xaphan: Psycho. (said so affectionately)

Katie: Join me later for a little death and mayhem? I’m pretty sure I saw a guy checking my ass out.

Xaphan growls as they head out of the room.

Lucifer (frowns at their departure): But I never got to ask any questions.

Gaia: You mean real ones? Like how they met because you forced them together on a quest?

Lucifer: Nah. Who cares about how I set them up? You can read about all their shenanigans in and out of the bedroom in their story, A Demon And His Psycho. No, I’m talking about important questions, like how many times a day they have sex? In what position? Where? How—

Gaia: You are such a pig. I don’t know why I put up with you.

Lucifer: It’s because I rock your world, baby.

Gaia: I can cause my own earthquakes thank you.

Lucifer

: Speaking of which, wanna erupt? (He waggles his brows.)

Gaia (snorts): That is so not sexy.

Lucifer: No but this is. (He snaps his fingers and Gaia is suddenly wearing a tattered gown displaying an eye popping amount cleavage, while he ends up wearing a flamboyant pirate ensemble, replete with eye patch, large tricorn and sword). Argh, me pretty. Time for your ravishment.
With a squeal, Gaia runs away. Lucifer with a chuckle, starts to follow. He stops dead, turns his head – 180 degrees leaving his body facing the opposite direction – and grins, while the flames of Hell dance in his eyes.

Lucifer: And this concludes your exciting introduction to Katie and Xaphan, a psycho with killer tendencies and her rigid demon. Read their story. Study it well, because you never know, next time I might decide to come after you. Happy sinning.

Lucifer disappears in a puff of smoke and our blog host appears looking somewhat dazed and smelling of brimstone.

I’m not crazy. I just have anger issues.

Welcome to Hell where the rules are always changing, the ash is constantly raining, and Lucifer is watching, waiting to steal your soul…

With a giggle and an outrageous mouth – perfect for things other than talking – Katie comes flying into Xaphan’s life, upsetting centuries of self-inflicted misery. How can he stay true to the one he lost when a bubbly psycho, with mismatched eyes,
keeps consuming his thoughts – and awakening his desire?

So she was a tad bit nuts, Katie’s insanity came in handy as the Devil’s favorite problem solver. But killing’s not on the menu when a dragon goes missing, and worse, Lucifer teams her up with Hell’s grumpiest demon. His rejection of her advances only makes her more determined to seduce him. And despite her violent reputation, a part of her is oddly tempted to let him live.

The Welcome To Hell stories can be read individually, however, for total reader enjoyment it is recommended you read them in order.

    Excerpt:

The giggle floated to him from above, light, and cheerful. A promise of mischief.

Xaphan ignored it. In Lucifer’s castle, strange noises occurred all the time. He’d grown used to the madness on the rare times he visited, and preferred to avoid it. Getting involved just wasn’t his thing. Besides, he had an appointment with his Lord, and Xaphan loathed tardiness.

The high pitched laughter grew closer, echoing down the swirling staircase, along with an exuberant, “Whee!” An odd swishing noise joined the exuberant giggling and Xaphan finally flicked his gaze upward in time to see the most bizarre sight ever.

A female, dressed in a pair of indecently cut jean shorts with a pink blouse tied off under her bosom, displaying a rounded naval where a piercing glinted, came surfing down the banister. Coasting the narrow stone, her arms windmilled as she hopped over the newel post that marked the second floor landing. One foot came up and she balanced precariously, her speed increasing as she continued her descent.

“Uh-oh,” she exclaimed as she wobbled. Her eyes widened, her long, blonde pig tails fluttered, and Xaphan sighed.

Lunatic. He turned away, not interested in seeing the crash, but he whirled back at her yelled, “Catch me!” Forgoing the remaining feet of railing, the blonde psycho launched herself straight at him.

“What the fuck!” One hundred and sixty pounds – a weight he knew well from his endurance and muscle building sessions – of giggling female hit him. Her legs wrapped around his waist while her hands clutched his shoulders. A shrill squeal of delight deafened him. He staggered under the unexpected burden and his hands automatically grasped at her. The touch of her smooth flesh – a perfect handful – made his skin sizzle on contact.

“Yippee, that was fun!” the lunatic exclaimed, bouncing in his grip.

“For who?” he muttered, juggling, whether he liked it or not, the wiggly body in his arms. A very nice body, with plush breasts that rubbed against his chest, and full ass cheeks made to cushion a man’s thrusting body.

“Nice catch by the way,” she added with a naughty grind of her lower parts against his. Damn his cock for waking up with more interest than her antic should have merited.

    “Did I have a choice?”

“A true gentleman never lets a lady fall.”

Him? A gentleman? Now that was funny. But not as funny as her other comment. “Where’s the lady?”

A brilliant green eye, and a clear blue one, regarded him and the tip of her pink tongue peeked out to lick full lips. “Good point,” she giggled, not offended at all. “But a girl likes to pretend.”

To that, he didn’t have a retort, but he did have to fight a smile. She’s crazy, but cute. And sexy, he revised as she again wiggled against him, a deadly combination for males who were available to the fairer sex. Thankfully, he was not, so he fought off her allure. Or tried to, at least. Certain parts of his body didn’t seem keen on cooperating.

It didn’t help when she gave him a look over, which involved scanning his features, leaning over to check out his ass, then bouncing her butt again which put pressure on a part currently borrowing more of this blood than he liked. He blamed the lack of hemoglobin to his brain for his inability to drop the psycho on her butt.

A twinkle – a naughty one promising delights he’d foresworn – shone in her eyes. “Nice to meet you, handsome. Lady or not, aren’t you glad you were in the right place at the right time?”

“Not really.” Words that screamed lie, seeing as how he had yet to let her go. Madness. Pure madness, and he blamed it on her scent, a vanilla like flavor which surrounded him and made his mouth water for a taste.

She smiled at his dry retort and her eyes crinkled with mischief. “And yet your grip is so firm.” She chuckled, a husky sound that touched him like a caress. “I have to say, though, landing on you is almost like hitting the floor. All hard and unyielding.” She emphasized her words with a wiggle, which, even he could grudgingly admit, would have worked better naked.
