Beware the Ides of March: A Novel Based on Psychic Readings by Bruce Miller

A Psychic Legal Thriller.
Inspired by true events.
An entertaining and intelligent gift to a lawyer.
Ron, a Miami law student is told his fortune by a genuine psychic involving the murder of a young pregnant woman and is told how he can prevent it.
Later, he dismisses the prophecy as non-sense.
Years later, Ron, now a successful lawyer, neglects his wife, who out of loneliness begins an affair with Rafael Santiago, a business man who secretly runs the financial side of large drug cartel.
After finding out about Rafael’s cartel affiliation, Claudia as well as Ron become the subjects of assassination due to Claudia’s inside cartel knowledge and the foretold events begin to happen and Ron strains to remember the details.
The DEA, private investigators, WITSEC (Witness Security Protection), Grand Jury Prosecutor, criminal prosecutors, defense lawyers, and many others become entwined in a fast-moving plot, compounded with complicated legal theories involving prior knowledge of a crime leading to an unexpected finale.

[spacer color=”264C84″ icon=”Select a Icon” style=”1″]“Ron Dalton knew why they kept the cells freezing cold in the Miami-Dade County jail. Inmates didn’t beat up on each other when they had hypothermia to stress about. What Ron never expected was that he would be the one doing the stressing. But here he was, stuck in a six-by-eight-foot cell that stunk of piss and indicted for a murder he didn’t commit. He’d lost his wife, Claudia, most of his money and, unless his case was thrown out of court, he could get the death penalty. All because of a fortune teller.
“Ron buried his hands in his armpits to warm them. Where the sleeves of his short-sleeved orange jumpsuit ended, the goose bumps began. Twenty-six years ago his girlfriend’s mother told him that sometime in the future a young woman might die because of him. Hell, he barely remembered the girlfriend, but the prophecy had lodged itself deep in his brain – maybe because it was the only time he’d ever had his fortune told. “And goddamn it, I’ll n-n-n-ever do it a-a-gain,” he murmured between shivers.”
