Adria, wolf changeling and resilient soldier, has made a break with the past–one as unpredictable in love as it was in war. Now comes a new territory, and a devastating new complication: Riaz, a SnowDancer lieutenant already sworn to a desperate woman who belongs to another.

For Riaz, the primal attraction he feels for Adria is a staggering betrayal. For Adria, his dangerous lone-wolf appeal is beyond sexual. It consumes her. It terrifies her. It threatens to undermine everything she has built of her new life. But fighting their wild compulsion toward one another proves a losing battle.

Their coming together is an inferno…and a melding of two wounded souls who promise each other no commitment, no ties, no bonds. Only pleasure. Too late, they realize that they have more to lose than they ever imagined. Drawn into a cataclysmic Psy war that may alter the fate of the world itself, they must make a decision that might just break them both.

Quote: “You have me,” she whispered. All of me.
“I love you to distraction, Empress.”
Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh

I love Nalini Singh’s books and especially the Psy-Changeling series. But i’am sad to say that this was the worst book of this series. Almost half of the book is devoted to other couples and in stead of switching a few times the story changes of storyline/couple every few pages and on top of that there’s is this awful thread about the Spy and some page filling email interaction between characters that i just skipped! The good things about the book where the few pages about Sienna and Hawk (small part of the mating ceremony). I wouldn’t mind to read a second book of them. I was first thinking that Sienna would become pregnant in this book but obviously that would end the popular storyline of this couple to fast in the eyes of Nalini so an other couple Mercy and Riley became pregnant instead! Overall everything was half! Don’t get me wrong – I absolutely love them all and was happy to see their parts in the story. But i would have liked o read about the main characters Riaz and Adria. To bad, the stories of the other couples could have been used to help push the main story forward and not bringing it down this was just distracting.

For a dye hard Nalini Singh fan this was really a disappointment! But don’t keep that from reading it it’s just a one woman’s opinion!

Cover: That is one awful cover… after reading the book i’ll still don’t understand the thorns….
and what is it with all the red? Nice model tho!
