Questions we asked Patrick Mac Phee from
The last Mac Phee by Dana Littlejohn!

Rest of questions are for character:
What did you do before the story begun?
I was betrothed to the love of my life, Cecilia MacNeal and was learning to a household from my brother and father.

What is your favorite part/memory?
The fairy was good enough to bring my best friend to me when he died on the battlefield. Though Sean’s form was not a man any longer, but that of a gargoyle, it was good to have with by my side over the years.

What are your favorite weapons?
The sword though I have not had to wield one in years.

What/who would you never want to come across again?
The lake demon that killed my family. It was magic and could only be defeated by magic.

How does it feel that somebody wrote a book about you?
I love that my story is being told. My family is dead, but they will live on these pages and that makes me feel good and I will always be able to relive how I met my sweet Charlene.
And will we be reading about you in the future?
No. I am content to live my life with Charlene in peace.
Just a little taste…

Patrick chuckled softly. “If you can be very quiet, my friend, I will take to see her. She is different from the women I have shown you in the past, but it is that difference that appeals to me. Bring your wings forth.”
Sean’s wings sprang forth from his back. They extended past his arm span, dark feathers made of malleable stone. Patrick walked into his embrace and turned his back to him. Sean gripped his friend’s waist and flapped his wings lifting them from the roof. He followed Patrick’s directions circling the castle to the terrace that belonged to her room.
He lowered Patrick softly to the terrace and landed beside him. They walked into her room as she slept behind the curtains that appeared to glow in the moonlight. Slowly Patrick pulled them back so that they may peer upon her beauty uninhibited by its gauzy effects.
The moonlight touched her brown skin giving it golden glow. Her hair fanned out slightly across her pillow as she slept peacefully. Her full lips still looked luscious as they held a touch of the ruby color they had earlier in the evening. The sheet that covered her body showed her figure beautifully as it hugged her curves seductively.
Patrick sniffed the air around her and his nostrils flared. Breathing in the scent that was individually hers along with a lighter scent of jasmine he felt his body respond. It had been a long time since a woman had that kind of effect on him. Just looking at her brought on a strong urge to stroke himself until he exploded in bliss. He passed his hand across his hardened member wondering how she would feel in his arms. He couldn’t remember the last time he had taken a woman to his bed. Always on high alert wanting to be ready at a moments notice to avenge his family, he was afraid to let anyone get close to him. Over the years he let his body lead him to women, but he never stayed long or wanted to keep one for his own, but this one was different. He sniffed the air again and smiled. He wanted this one, he had to have her. The fear was still there, but it has been over a hundred and fifty years since the fairy saved him wasn’t he entitled to some kind of happiness while he waited? With a deep sigh, he let the curtains fall back in place.
“Come, Sean, let’s go.”
Sean returned them to the roof. “She is beautiful indeed, Patrick. Do you think she is the one that was meant to be yours?”
“Aye, she could be. She is like no woman I have ever met. Over these long years I have been afraid to let someone in my heart for a Brodie could come at any time.”
Sean nodded. “And now?”
He smiled. “I’ve spend one day with this woman and I want her for my own. If all I have is a small amount of time with her, I feel it would be worth it.”
Sean laughed. “Then let’s hope it is over quickly,” he said and cupped him on the back.
Patrick laughed with his friend. “I have missed you, my friend. I will hate to loose you when the enchantment is broken.”
“I will go in peace knowing that you are happy my friend.”
With one last hug, Patrick left his friend. Before he closed the roof door behind him, he took one last look over his shoulder to see him take his place
