Werewolves & More In Paranormal Suburbia

Midnight Gardens is a growing community sitting on acres and acres of land in a town called Westport, located in Indiana. The suburban town is home to a variety of paranormal creatures and they really aren’t that different from us. They have jobs, pay bills and taxes, and go about their lives as normal humans do. The big difference is they have some special abilities and different needs. To accommodate some of those needs, I created a place where they could feel safe and live as normal as we do. I thought this was a good idea, so on I wrote…

Alexandria, my protagonist, is a vampire and thought Midnight Gardens would be the perfect place for her to spend her immortality. She moves into her new house and discovers one of her next-door neighbors is a werewolf. He’s smoking hot and tempts her to forget her troubled past and let her heart lead the way.

Now, if your neighbor was a sexy, smart, and funny werewolf, wouldn’t you want to get to know him? I say – hell yes!

I knew when I started writing Welcome to the Neighborhood I had to write a scene where the werewolf changes. I didn’t want it to be gross since this is a romance novel. When you think of a werewolf changing, what movie comes to mind?

For me, I always think of American Werewolf in London. The body transformation into a four-legged creature fascinated me. Sure, it looks a bit cheesy today, but in the 1980s the movie impressed me.

Anyway, I didn’t want my werewolf change to be disgusting but I did want it to make sense and be somewhat realistic to my romance readers. So, you have this strong werewolf who struts his stuff during the full moon, but he has only one female in mind that he wants to bang. And she’s a vampire. Lucky for him, she has an eye on his prize. You see, when a werewolf changes to a man, they are quite hard and horny. While the body is shifting into a human shape, the blood is flowing and the cock is growing. That’s right, werewolves are extremely hot after they change to human form.

What’s a girl to do?

excerpt

She stopped behind several kids staring at monkeys behind a glass wall. The smaller ones with long tails and cute faces brought a smile to her face.

“Now that’s just butt ugly,” Greg said.

She found him standing a few feet away, staring at the larger baboon. Quietly, she strolled over and peered past his shoulder. The animal had a bare rear, but fur covered the rest of its body, except its long nose.

            “Ew.”

“I don’t understand why people come to look at such hideous creatures.”

            “They’re different to look at.”

“I could change into my wolf form and give people something different to look at.”

“Now that I would love to see.”

His eyes shimmered with surprise. “Really?”

“I’ve seen werewolves change before. It looks painful, and sounds like it too, but to consider how your body shifts and changes is…incredible.” She licked her lips as she pictured Greg changing from his wolf form into a man. His muscles would stretch and tighten. His dark hair would stand out from his bare flesh. And his cock would grow as if he were getting a large hard-on, only it would enlarge twice the normal size. Every werewolf she’d seen change had an impressive cock. Cheeks warming, she imagined what Greg’s would look like.
