It seems like forever ago that I announced a new series, set in the same world as the Veil series, but with all new characters.
Well, the release day for Chaos Rises is finally here and I can’t wait for you all to meet Gem, Delta, Allard, and more. So, charge up your phone, your kindle, Nook or Kobo, or prep the delivery guy. It’s here. Are you ready?
Chaos Rises is out today!
When the veil fell, any half-bloods not strong enough to withstand Chaos were torn apart. Some, like me and my brother, survived the Fall. Most did not.
That’s the good news. The bad news saw a whole other world try and devour ours. Demons, we call them. They came in countless waves. Destroying. Killing. Many people thought it was the end…
The Fall lasted a week.
Tens of thousands died.
Hell almost claimed our world as its own.
And then, from one day to the next, it was over. The veil came back, stronger than ever. I’m not sure if anyone knows how it was put right. But I do know it’s been six months since the Fall, me and my brother are on the run, and the leftover demons aren’t the most dangerous things in LA.
We are.
*** This heart-pounding new urban fantasy series promises to bring a heady blend of action, suspense, and a hint of romance to the demon-torn streets of Los Angeles.
“Packed with action, well-written, and totally engaging.”

“Funny, kickass heroines, awesome romance and action-packed plots, this book has definitely surpassed my expectations!”
Featured Playlist Track – Chaos Rises
I have several tracks on my Chaos Rises playlist that I wanted to chat about today. Daft Punk, Get Lucky, was one (it reminds me of Li’el) and Teardrop by Massive Attack was another. But the track that iTunes says I played the most was Paint It Black, by Ciara (The original is good too, but I love this version).
Gem, the half demon main character in Chaos Rises is not your typical urban fantasy kick-ass heroine. Born and raised in a lab, she barely knows how to be human, and knows even less about being demon. Sheltered and naive, it’s not until her brother goes missing that she realises she’s alone, and that she’s completely unprepared for a ‘real life’ among ‘real people’. This is a girl whose sole purpose in life is to kill demons. She’s on the outside of the world, looking in. That makes her incredibly vulnerable, but also extremely efficient at what she does.
