Interview with GA: Forever Werewolf:Forever Werewolf and Moon Kissed By Michele Hauf

 with Michele Hauf

Iris:Hi Michelle thank you for answering these questions on such a short notice! But I love to have you here on the blog!

Michele:  It’s great to be here!  Thanks for the invite.

Iris:I have just read your latest book Forever Werewolf: Forever WerewolfMoon Kissed. Why did you combine or choose these two stories in one book?

Michele:  Actually, the publisher decided to do a special feature for October, and both Nocturnes released included one of the author’s previous books.  I suggested Moon Kissed, which was originally pubbed in 9/09, because it features one of my favorite werewolf heroes, Severo.
Iris: Would you tell us about Forever Werewolf and Moon Kissed?

Michele:  Forever Werewolf is Trystan’s story.  He showed up at the end of his father’s story, Seducing The Vampire, and had a scene or two in his twin brother Vail’s story, Forever Vampire.  I’ve been waiting to tell Trystan’s story for a while, and this is actually the first werewolf story I’ve written where both hero and heroine are wolves.  It was fun to explore the relationship dyamics between the two of them.

Moon Kissed was my first venture into werewolves. Severo was originally  a villain in Kiss Me Deadly, but he kept bugging me to tell his story. When I started figuring out who he was, I really fell in love with werewolves.  They’re big, hunky, cuddly kinds of guys.  Very family-oriented, and fiercely protective or their own.
Iris: When I was reading the first story Forever Werewolf  about Alexis and Trystan. I thought I was reading a few small intro’s to new stories like maybe a book about Natalie and Edmonton or Liam and Lana. Can you give us a peek preview about them?

Michele:  Someday I might like to do Liam and Lana’s story, but don’t foresee that any time soon.  As for Edmonton, he’s got wanderlust, so I don’t foresee any permanent romances for him anytime soon. 😉
Iris: After reading Forever Werewolf the second story starts about Severo (loved him BTW!) I was wondering something. Why do most alpha males have to smell like something? Earthy?

Michele:  Well I don’t think they do have to smell like anything, but then again, we all have a distinctive scent.  And werewolves would be most keen to pick up another person’s scent.  Earthy to me is when you go outdoors and let the scents of earth and nature surround you.  Sort of masculine, I think.
Iris: I don’t want to sniff around strange attractive men but I don’t think I will find one that smells earthy on this world!

Michele: Then I guess you’ll be avoiding gardeners, eh?  😉  I’m fascinated that people really do rely upon their noses to choose their mates, whether they realize it or not.
What 3 words would you use to describe Severo?
Michele:  Sexy, Devoted, Been-There-Done-That-Seen-It-All (so, World Weary)
Iris: I know You have written about a lot of different characters Like vamps, were, demons and more. My favorite books are with paranormal characters like werewolves, alpha wolves and vampires? I tend to like them over others. Do you have your own preference?

Michele:  I think I go in phases.  When I’m writing vamps I love them, but then I might get to the point where I’m like “I so need to write a faery!”  You know?  I like all the paranormal creatures I write about, but if I had to choose, hmm…I guess vamps are my favs.
Iris: If you would have to add an extra power/skill to werewolf character like Severo. What would you choose?

Michele:  Hmm, not sure.  He’s pretty self sufficient and can beat most anything in a fight.  He’s kind and caring.  A great lover.  A big eater.  Maybe give him more years to live?  As it stands, I generally give my werewolves about three centuries to live.
Iris: Can you tell us what you have in mind (book wise) for the future? Where are you working on now?

Michele: Right now I’m working on a 4-book series about a vampire slaying group called The Order of The Stake. Set in Paris, the first book I recently handed in, Beautiful Danger.  I think this is my favorite hero so far!  He’s a vampire who was tortured by werewolves so he struggles with insanity.  It’s a dark tale, but I’ve tossed in a sexy female slayer and some music and rooftop excursions under the moonlight.  Can’t wait for readers to read it!
As well, another hero I’m excited about is Certainly Jones, who is a dark witch.  His story is This Wicked Magic, which comes out next Jan 20th.  Certainly’s brother had a short story in This Glamorous Evil.
Iris: Aaah can’t wait to read that series.  well! …Thank youMichele for answering these questions really loved talking to you!

Michele: Thank you! I hope readers enjoy Trystan’s story!

Moon Kissed By Michele Hauf
A fine line between fear and desire…

Escaping from bloodthirsty vampires, Belladonna Reynolds ran straight into the arms of a werewolf. As a man, Severo drew her in with his dark good looks; as a beast he astounded her with his insatiable sensual appetite. Whether afraid or aroused, Bella fled to his lair when threatened by an evil monster of the night….

And between hatred and love…

Severo tried to keep Bella—his mate—safe from the vampiress who held a malicious desire for revenge against him—but he alone wasn’t enough. How could he desire the very thing he’d spent his life destroying? And even if he did, what would the werewolf do to Bella on the next full moon?

And you know, Moon Kissed has a followup short story:

After the Kiss
Belladonna Reynolds has just married a werewolf. Severo has given her nearly everything she could want: love, amazing sex, and the honor of choosing her as his mate for life. Yet there is one thing she craves that Severo will not give her: his blood.

To a vampire, a couple’s greatest bond is formed with the bite. But Severo will be shunned by his own kind once marked by a vampire. Even as they enjoy intense passion in their marriage bed, Bella and Severo have to wonder: Can a marriage between a werewolf and a vampire work?
