My New Year’s Revolution! by E. Van Lowe

Falling Angels Saga Button 300 x 225I’ve never been one for New Year’s resolutions. I used to make resolutions back when I was in high school and I didn’t understand what it takes to reach your goals. Back then, every January I’d say something like “I’m gonna lose some weight,” or “I’m gonna pay more attention in school.” Then midway through March when I was barreling toward an “F” in French and my love handles were spilling over the sides of my pants, I’d realize I hadn’t stuck to any of my resolutions. Okay, so maybe I didn’t have love handles back then, but you know what I mean; most people don’t stick to their resolutions.  So last year I decided instead of writing New Year’s Resolutions I would write my New Year’s Revolutions.  These weren’t a wish list of things I’d like to see happen, instead these were plans my plans for moving ahead in the future.  Perhaps the only difference between a resolution and a plan is psychological, and yet it works, at least it did for me.

Last year, one of my revolutions was that I wanted to make Heaven Sent, the third book in The Falling  Angels Saga my best yet.  Last January I stated the book would be out in December, and true to my word, Heaven Sent came out on December 15th (Thanks in large part to my friends at White Whisker Books). The book has only been out for a few weeks, but so far the comments have stated that it’s up there among my best.  I had many big plans last year, some I achieved, some that fell by the wayside.  My overall plan will take more than one year to fulfill, yet I can honestly tell you I am definitely on my way to achieving it.

Revolutions work.  So this year on New Year’s Eve, instead of coming up with a bunch of resolutions you will have forgotten by the end of the week, why not sit down and write up a plan to follow for the new year, and then post the desired results of the plan on your blog.  Let’s all decide right now to make 2013 a year of personal growth and change.  And let’s all begin by throwing out the idea of resolutions, and coming up with a plan for change.  Happy New Year.  If you’re interested, my revolutions will be on my blog by the end of the week.  That’s a promise.

Falling Angels Saga Book One) By E. Van Lowe
Genre: Paranormal YA

 Aww, Hell No!

Fifteen year-old Megan Barnett and her single mom, Suze, have a special relationship—they are friends, close friends, who do almost everything together.

“But come on, guys, she’s my mother… Can I really tell her that while we’re snuggled up on the sofa watching Spider Man Three, I’m secretly undressing James Franco with my eyes?  Of course not…”

The special bond takes a turn for the worse when Suze decides to start dating again.  She hasn’t had a man in her life since Megan’s father left ten years ago.

Enter two mysterious young men, Megan’s new classmate, sinfully attractive bad boy, Guy Matson, and the dangerously handsome art dealer, Armando.  Before long Megan and Suze both wind up in steamy relationships.  But neither of the handsome guys is quite what he seems.  In fact, one of them is Satan, with his sights set on a new bride.  Megan has precious little time to figure out how to stop him.  If she doesn’t, either Megan or Suze are quite literally going to HELL.
