My Thoughts
Call Me Miz is the first book of this new Missouri Hess Series by Gem Sivad.
Gem has set a exciting world with her feisty kick-ass Missouri Hess. Although it is a short story it its world building is good and characters enjoyable without being rushed! Call Me Miz has all the right elements you would expect from a Shapeshifter/erotic paranormal book. It’s Fast paced and full of Action with Paranormal Characters like Jaguars and witches and let’s not forget the steamy sex scenes.
I specially liked the main character Miz (Missouri Hess), she is a strong woman who knows how to fight and rides a Harley and on top of that is a witch with the power to heal humans and paranormal beings.
She climbed off her bike, pulled the helmet from her head
and set it on the seat, then circled the Harley before looking at the men.

The hero is a jaguar-shifter named Thomas Hunter. He is an African American and special agent sent to find the local werewolves in Miz’s town. You can almost guess that of course when they meet Thomas wants Miz as his mate.

ugh I enjoyed reading Call Me Miz I couldn’t stop wondering how the book would have been if some of the story lines/dialogues would not have been written in third form. Like for instance this part about Thomas and his Jaguar:
He sneezed, shaking his head. The man thought meth lab and
made a mental note to report the location of the house to his contact. The

About the Cover: Most readers judge a new book or potential to-read by its cover, whether you like it or not. It’s the first thing you see when your browsing online or in a store. As a designer I really don’t like it that you can see the face of the man on the cover. I like to use my imagination and thats not the face I had in mind when thinking about the character Thomas …the mouth-watering hunk. Further I miss the shapeshifter aspect. I would have added a jaguar to the cover so you can see in one instance it’s a shapeshifter/paranormal Romance. Anyway in short. I liked reading Call Me Miz particularly about Miz. This is a enjoyable read. Judge for your self. Let me know what you think of Call Me Miz!
