Death Lies Between Us is book 1 of the An Angel Falls Series. This is a sweet Young Adult Paranormal Romance. The story starts with Nathaniel Evans, an Angel of Death whose role is to help people through a rough part of their life and eventually help them cross over. But now his new charge makes his life a whole lot of different. His new charge is the spicy young Juliana.

She is fun character to read about.  Jody A Kessler has done a great job creating Juliana and her life she is living. Juliana is devoted to her family, her brother and because of that way to mature. Her spirit has a little of a Dark depressive undertone but with her beauty a combination hard to resist for Nathaniel. Disgruntled with his position in the afterlife and conflicted by his feelings toward his new charge, Nathaniel Evans forgoes the rules he has to life and work by and will try anything to save the young Juliana.

The interaction is fun between them, Nathaniel in conflict when he is invisable for Juliana. But soon noticing there is more to the eye you see with this girl.

Like I said, the first book of this series. The ending is kind of abrupt. I missed a little happily after ending. Or peek in their future but I do hope to read more about the two teenagers in book 2 of the An Angel Falls Series.
