This month was a great week for book releases. We had a few big ones like Lethal Rider by Larissa Ione and Tangle of Need by Nalini Singh and this one. Everybody nows i’m not a great fan of YA but this one is special so therefore the “Young Adult Special Pick”. Even if you read mostly Paranormal Romances for Adults there’s a great chance your def going to like this one!

Taken by Storm is the third book of the Raised by Wolves series. And with some series the first book is the best, but not with this one. This one just keeps getting better and better!

Quote: “I lived and breathed the fear, and my senses heightened. I felt something—an odd kind of silence, not quite a noise—behind me. Hopped up on power, I whirled, and a second later, I slammed Caroline back against the exterior wall of the cabin, my hand around her neck. I hadn’t heard her coming, but I’d known she was there. After a moment, I let go of my Resilience, allowed it to slip away. I pried my hand away from Caroline’s throat. Unfathomably, she smiled. “I take it the lesson went well?  J.L. Barnes, Taken by Storm

This book is intense and heartbreaking with a thin layer of romance. The characters are amazing and the story and plot just fantastic. I seriously can never put these books down, I finish them in one day/night. Bryn the main character is just a teenager who has to make hard decisions when leading her pack of wolves as almost only human in a world full of alfa were’s. Jennifer Lynn Barnes had written this story fast but also so realistic you almost believe it’s real. Where i was big fan of Bryn and Chase in the first two books i’am now starting to wish for a true love story for Bryn and Callum (maybe just wishful thinking i am to much with my nose in the Adult PaRomance books) Taken by Storm ends with a big cliff hanger and i really hate to wait for the 4th book to come out. If you like shifter books or werewolf books or PRN but you need a change then read this series!

Happy reading!

(I recommend reading this book in the right order, because “Raised by Wolves”, really holds some valuable information that provides the starting point of everything that Bryn is and how she made her decisions.

Blurb:  Taken by Storm by Jennifer Lynn Barnes (source author)
Bryn knows first-hand that being the alpha of a werewolf pack means making hard decisions, and that being human makes things a thousand times worse. She’s prepared to give up her humanity, but the wolf who promised to Change her is waiting – though for what, Bryn doesn’t know. Still human, she must take her place in the werewolf Senate, the precarious democracy that rules the North American packs. Standing side by side with werewolves who were ancient long before she was ever born is enough of a challenge, but Bryn soon learns that the Senate has been called to deal with a problem: the kind of problem that involves human bodies, a Rabid werewolf, and memories that Bryn, Chase, and the rest of their pack would rather forget. With bodies stacking up and political pressure closing in from all sides, Bryn and her pack are going to have to turn to old enemies and even older friends for help – especially when it starts to look like this time, the monster might be one of their own.

  • Read the first two books of this series and I love them! Cannot wait to get my hands on this third book. Soo glad to see that it doesn’t disappoint! Scared about it ending on a huge cliffhanger though, I hate it when they do that becuase then we have to wait for months to find out what happens. 🙁
